REVIEW: OPI Neon Revolution Mini Pack OPI launches the Neon Revolution mini pack, featuring four limited edition neon nail lacquers, a neon white base coat, and OPI Top Coat. These bright and bold shades include vivid hues of yellow, orange, pink and blue.
After prepping your nails with your favorite base coat, apply OPI’s neon white base coat (included in this set). I used three coats here, which may sound like a lot, but because this is a mini set and the brushes are smaller, not as much product goes into the bristles. I am very pleased with this white base because it is non-streaky and actually quite smooth for a white polish. If you have smaller nails, you could get away with using just two coats. (By the way, isn’t the mini bottle so cute? Look at how small it is compared to my hand!)
Rather than doing individual swatches, I decided to do a “skittle” swatch and show you all four neons on one hand. From left to right:
I layered two coats of each neon polish over the white base. You could definitely wear each alone without the white, but it would not have that “pop” of brightness. After, I finished off each nail with the OPI Top Coat provided in the set to seal in the color and to add gloss. Overall, this is a very cute set, though I would prefer to have full-sized bottles. There is something about mini brushes that make painting my nails a bit more difficult. Limited edition Neon Revolution mini sets will be available beginning July 2013 at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $19.95 ($24.95 CAN) suggested retail for each mini pack (includes all six products). REVIEW: Zoya Irresistible Collection Summer 2013 (as previewed here) Several weeks ago, I showed you swatches of Zoya’s Stunning Cream Collection for Summer 2013. Today I have swatches of the metallic version, called the Irresistible Collection, and might I add - these colors are absolutely irresistible! ;) The metallics in this collection are a bit different than the usual metallic polishes. These are packed with eye-catching flecks and specks of shimmer. I made sure that I shot a macro of each polish for you to see the sparkles a bit better.
Kerry is a goldenrod-yellow metallic polish with a beautiful foil finish. Yellow polishes tend not to work so well with my skintone, so this would not be one of my favorites, but if you are a lover of yellow, definitely give this one a go! I used two coats.
Amy is ridiculously pretty! This amazing orange metallic polish is filled with gold specks to add a new dimension to your nails. I love the boldness of this polish - it’s perfect for the summer! I have shown two coats, but you could possibly get away with just one.
Tinsley is a plum-pink metallic with gold and silver specks. This one is more subtle in terms of color intensity, so I find it to be an easy color to wear for any occasion.
Bobbi is a stunning fuchsia pink metallic with silver and gold specks. This is a one-coater!
Hazel is a silver-blue metallic polish with a bit of gold-green shimmering specks. This polish is chrome-like so you could almost see your reflection on your nails! This is another one-coater polish.
Rikki is my favorite of this batch! This gorgeous leafy-green metallic polish also has gold flecks. It is perfect in just two coats. <3 The Irresistible Collection is available now on the Zoya website (here) for $48. You can also purchase each color separately for $8/bottle. I hope you found something you like! ;) Keep in touch with me: FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM — Products provided for an honest review.

REVIEW: Barielle Brilliant Colors Collection Hello everyone! I am back after a 2-week break from blogging. :) As of today, I am officially done with my first year of grad school! I am excited to get back to a regular blogging schedule now that I have a bit more time (squee!). So what do I have in store for you today? The lovely people from Barielle sent me the Brilliant Colors collection to share with you and might I add, they sent the set to me at the perfect time! The colors have very encouraging names for those in school to strive for high marks and straight A’s! I actually swatched these babies last week before taking my finals and the names just got me pumped up to study hard and get those high grades! At the end of this post, I will share an awesome opportunity for you to win some goodies in Barielle’s June Sweepstakes. A lucky reader of mine actually won a prize package from the May Sweepstakes and I would love to see another win this one! Now let’s take a look at these gorgeous cremes. :)
Smarty Pants Pink is a creamy, flamingo pink. I can never get enough of Barielle’s flawless formula. They have perfected their creme polishes to provide you with a highly-pigmented, non-streaky application. Pictured is two coats for full coverage.
Head of the Class Green is a gorgeous seafoam green creme. I am a lover of green and blue polishes and I could have sworn that I had every possible shade of green. Nope. I was wrong. This is absolutely lovely and a wonderful addition to add to my future manicures. I used two coats. * Be sure to use a good base coat. Head of the Class Green is a stainer (even after immediate removal for this swatch).
Magna Cum Laude Turquoise is just swell. <3 I love this cute sky blue creme! There is nothing more to say. Perfect formula, beautiful color - what more could I ask for?
Straight A Coral is a red-orange creme. It is more red than orange, so coral isn’t a very good description. But nonetheless, it is a bright, perky color. Here’s to hoping for straight A’s this quarter! ;)
High Marks Purple is a deep, orchid purple creme. It has a thicker formula, so it is a one-coater! Love this set? It is available for purchase on the Barielle website for $25. Or .. Try your luck at winning this Brilliant Colors collection + more in Barielle’s June Sweepstakes! The June Sweepstakes will start on June 10th and end on June 30th. There will be 10 prizes given out and one Grand Prize of a DKNY Blue Leather Handbag, RSP of $175.00. The Barielle kit will consist of:
