GRAPE SODA FIZZY
Milani Violet Dash
Milani Lavender
Look at this combination! Does the close-up on the corner remind you of champagne bubbles?
Here I have on two coats of Milani’s Violet Dash with one coat of Lavender layered on top. Violet Dash is a beautiful violet creme, and just as the name suggests, it dries in a dash! Lavender is a fun glitter polish in a clear base. It is filled with two sizes of purple hex glitter. If you have been reading my blog, you know I LOVE glitter polishes, so this is just perfect for me. I had no trouble with the application of these polishes - both are very smooth and non-streaky.
You can purchase these Milani polishes at your local CVS, Target, or Walgreens for $4.49/bottle. They are also available on Amazon and the Milani website.

365 Days of Color Mint Chip
My, oh my. Does the name sound delicious or what? Here I have five coats of 365 Days of Color’s Mint Chip. It is a grayish-green jelly polish with black square glitter pieces. Remind you of anything? Of course, mint chocolate chip ice cream! Perfect for the summertime!
Application of this product was very easy - smooth, non-streaky. I wish it were tinted a bit more lime-green for that minty look though. Overall, it is very well-executed, and I am very happy to see 365 Days of Color grow. I look forward to what other polishes her creative mind will think up! Mint Chip is just one of five polishes in the Candy Shoppe collection. Check them out today!

Candeo Colors Jellybean
Say hello to the perfect indie polish for the springtime! This is four coats of Jellybean (such a fitting name) followed by two coats of Seche Vite. Jellybean is a milky, pastel yellow base with blue, pink, and purple hex glitter. There are also smaller pink and blue hex glitter floating around in the bottle to complete the look. Two coats was actually enough for full coverage, but I went ahead and layered on two more to enhance the jelly-sandwich look.

SPOTTED PIGGY
Essie French Affair
Candeo Colors Sprouse
Yes, yes, yes, ANOTHER indie polish for you today! Here, I have three coats of French Affair (given to me by the lovely Mel of Pretty Nail Swag a few weeks ago in a spring-themed nail art contest - check her out!) followed by one coat of Sprouse. This unique glitter polish is packed with black, white, and blue hex glitter as well as black and white bar glitter. The base appears to be clear from far away, but if you take a closer look, it is actually filled with very fine silver glitter. Trust me, the creator of Candeo Colors did not skimp out on glitter. No fishing required!
This is definitely a fun polish to use - I can’t wait to try it over other colors.

365 Days of Colors Summer Dream
And here’s another indie nail polish for you to gush over! Ladies and gentlemen (wait, are there any fellas here?), please let me introduce to you, Summer Dream, a minty green polish packed with various shapes and sizes of glitter created by 365 Days of Colors. This is four coats of the polish with a glossy top coat. Application was very easy and I did not find myself needing to fish for the large glitter pieces - everything came out perfectly.
I had so much fun applying this product. Why? Well, after every stroke on each nail, I would find a new kind of glitter magically appear. There are square, hex, and bar glitters of various sizes and colors packed into this little bottle. In the picture, I am holding the mini size (5mL, which is a third of a regular-sized bottle). Check out her site to see what other polishes she offers.

SUSIE IS WHIMSICAL
Julep Susie
Revlon Whimsical
I have searched high and low for the Deborah Lippmann dupe of Glitter in the Air. You would not believe me if I told you the number of drugstores I went to just to get my hands on Whimsical. After searching for over a month, I decided to call it quits. That’s when The Nail Files kindly sent me one of her extras. She is an amazing nail blogger with beautiful swatches and reviews. Check her out!
I am so happy to finally have Whimsical in my collection. :)
This is three coats of Susie followed by two coats of Whimsical. Susie is a gorgeous milky, mint green, which is fully-opaque in two coats (I chose to do a third purely by habit). Whimsical is a sea-green jelly base polish packed with blue and copper glitter. It can be worn alone (several coats needed), but I really wanted to give my new Julep polish a try when it arrived in the mail.

Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker
There are some very creative people out there lately mixing up their own concoctions. I was able to order a bottle of Jawbreaker from Pretty & Polished last week and finally had the chance to put it on. And you know what? I absolutely love it. This white-base polish is packed with micro purple glitter and larger multicolored hex glitter. There are also some square-shaped red pieces in there, but I could not fish them out. With or without the red pieces, I still loved this look very much. These nails really do resemble Jawbreaker candies. :)
In these pictures, I have 3 coats on. After every coat, the glitters get “sandwiched” between the white base, but you can still see them. This is a jelly-sandwich nail polish in just one bottle!

POLISH HAUL
Today I found the China Glaze Prismatic Chroma Glitters collection at a local beauty store! If you have been reading my page for awhile now, then you know that glitter polishes appeal to me greatly. I had to get them all!
They are difficult to photograph in the bottle, but hopefully when I swatch them, it’ll be easier to show you the cool color-shifting effects.
From left to right: Full Spectrum, Liquid Crystal, Prism, Polarized, Ray-Diant, Optical Illusion
These polishes are to be officially released in April 2012, but they are also being sold on Amazon right now. Click here to get yours!

SPECKLED ROBIN EGGS
Sinful Colors Cinderella
Julep Portia
I know it’s not Easter yet, but these nails remind me of Easter/robin eggs, haha.
There has been so much talk about Sinful Colors’ Cinderella lately on many nail blogs and I had to try it out myself. It was difficult to find, but I managed to snag one at a local Walgreens last weekend. The name Cinderella suits this color perfectly - it definitely matches Cinderella’s dress! It is a beautiful baby blue with a fun pink shimmer. Be warned though, this color is very sheer and it took five coats before reaching full opacity.
Oh, what? And as if five coats weren’t enough, I decided to layer on two more coats of Julep’s Portia for that speckled-look. Drying time? Disastrous, but definitely worth it! I didn’t touch a thing for a good hour. It would have taken even longer, but thank goodness I had a can of DeMert Nail Enamel Dryer. It definitely cuts the drying time by more than a half. If you’re ever in a rush to use your hands right after completing a fresh manicure, don’t risk denting or smudging your newly-polished nails. I always keep a can for emergencies!
Portia is a beautiful glitter polish in a sheer, sky blue base. It came in my March box along with other goodies from the Julep Maven program. You can get your first box for $0.01 with the coupon code PENNY. Click here to join the Maven program!
