SWATCHES butter LONDON Yummy Mummy Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I hope you all have some amazing plans ahead of you as I am sitting behind my books (one more week of finals, and then I can finally dedicate more time to this blog again). Today I have two polishes to show you. These are the first butter LONDON polishes to be added into my polish collection. :) I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but these rectangular bottles are so adorable that I loved them right away! According to butter LONDON, the term ‘yummy mummy’ is British slang for impossibly slim, beautiful, “stay-at-home mums.” What an interesting definition, haha. Yummy Mummy (as seen in the first picture above) is a medium beige color, which sort of reminds me of freshly-brewed coffee with a bit too much creamer (the way I like my coffee!). There is a very subtle, silver shimmer laced into the formula, which gave the polish that extra class. I was expecting to need more than three coats in order to achieve bottle color since it appears to be extra light, but the formula is so amazing that I only needed to use two coats! If you’re looking for a simple, neutral color, Yummy Mummy definitely works for all skin tones. butter LONDON describes Snog as a bright, happy, hot pink. It is all that! The name really suits this color. To “snog” is to kiss passionately or “make out.” I love how bold and loud this color is - it’s screaming to be snogged! (Wait, what? Yep, I said it.) In the picture above, I used only two coats to reach opacity. I took the picture before adding on a top coat to show you that it is glossy when dried, though I do still recommend for you to add on a top coat to make the manicure last longer. Overall, I am extremely impressed with butter LONDON’s nail lacquers. These will not be my last bottles - I can’t wait to buy some more! I love that the brush size is a tad smaller than what I am used to, which allows for better control. There was no need to do any clean up after painting my nails. I must also mention the best part about these polishes! Each of the nail colors (along with Primrose Hill Picnic, Teddy Girl, and Trout Pout) have matching LIPPY’s! LIPPY is butter LONDON’s long-wearing, liquid lipsticks. They leave your lips with a high-gloss shine and have a light fragrance - almost like roses.
The butter LONDON nail lacquer retails for $14 and each LIPPY retails for $17. You can find these polishes at your local Sephora and Ulta. Don’t forget to check out butter LONDON’s website for more products and become a fan of their Facebook page! — All products mentioned in this post were sent to me for consideration from butter LONDON.
