REVIEW: Saint Germain Paris Nail Polishes

With summer coming right around the corner, it’s time to take out some bright varnishes to really stand out at the beach, at the amusement part, (at summer school, hehe), or by the pool. Today, I have five gorgeous polishes from Saint Germain to share with you. There are currently 22 different shades in their collection, so be sure to check them out here.

Sea Green is a delicious-looking minty, creme polish. This color makes me think of eating a cold mint chocolate chip ice cream cone while having my feet in the pool. It’s such a clean and crisp color for a summer pedicure! In the picture above, I used three coats of Sea Green to achieve bottle color. Though this is a pastel creme polish, the outcome is non-streaky and the formula is absolutely perfect. I highly recommend adding this minty green into your polish collection.

What would summer be without the luminous sun? With Yellow Sun, you can have the sun shining on all ten fingers. Someone asked me about a good yellow polish a few weeks ago and I am now pointing my fingers to this! Again, the formula is incredibly easy to work, so you do not need to worry about globs. I used three coats here.

Oh, and what is summer without an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini? Add some white polka dots for a cute bikini manicure. ;)

Pink Lotus is the perfect hot-pink creme polish! Imagine running around at the amusement park in a simple summer dress. Now imagine that with a cotton candy in your hand and Pink Lotus on your nails. Cute! I used three coats here because macro focus captures even the slightest imperfection, but you can easily get away with using just two coats.

Purple Silver is everything the name says. It is a frosty silver polish with a purple tint. Doesn’t the frosty finish remind you of the condensation formed on the cup of a cold drink on a hot summer day? Whoo-whee, I am getting chills waiting for summer to come! Anyway, when I first saw the picture on the Saint Germain website, I was expecting Purple Silver to be a lilac creme (which is why I am swatching for you to see the true colors!), as seen in the bottle shot above. The formula is very thin compared to the cremes and can be be very streaky. I used four coats to achieve opacity here.

I know what you’re thinking. “This doesn’t look like a summery color!” I agree with you, but if you’re sporting bright clothes, then you can go easy on the brightness of your nails (or not, haha). Taupe is definitely my favorite of the five polishes here. It is so chic, and can easily be worn with almost any outfit in your closet.

So what do you think? Are you ready for summer yet? You can purchase these nail lacquers on the Saint Germain website.
